Aliah Selah Clar Rheinstein is a dedicated teacher, Qigong Sound Healer, Musician, and Artist who loves to celebrate Community Building classes, and projects.
She had a lifetime of experiences of community building and seeks to offer education more life skills, hands-on projects, and building lasting friendships.
She has developed and teaches teachers and parents CoCreative Communications:
No matter what you say, you say from the heart, "We are in this together, and we are going to work things out." And as you do that, you are fair, and this builds trust and that's what builds lasting friendships. A big part of the teaching is CoCreative Conflict Resolution: focusing on how to talk down the conflict with
CoCreative Communications.
Another part is teaching CoCreative Collaboration Skills - something that is so vital to the very survival of the next generation so that they can come up with brilliant solutions together for the many challenges we all face.
Learning how to give CoCreative Constructive Feedback:
Emphasizing all the time that each of us is a unique artist, and we should learn from each other - but not judge ourselves with the comparison to others who might have more experience. Only to compare ourselves to ourselves so we notice our growth.
Aliah offers an important lesson from her mentor teacher:
"I learned so much from my mentor teacher Tobin Keller, who had a wonderful way of bringing the best out in everyone. I loved how he inspired everyone to help and support each other. One of the things best things he taught was his "feedback sandwich":
Say something you really like, something that could be improved, and end with something you feel really touched you with their artwork.
I have found that this helps offer feedback not just with art, in every aspect in life where feedback is needed, and yet may not be easily heard.
The "Feedback Sandwich" allows us to focus on what they did well so much more than what could improve. And many times he would ask if they wanted feedback on what to improve, because he knew they were sensitive when it is said in the group. And sometimes they would say no. So he would honor that, and speak to them privately. The bottom line was to respect everyone so they all felt comfortable being creative together and focused on building a community of artists who loved working and sharing art together."
She is a media producer: producing music, video, and web development.
Offering her skills in private schools, camps, and homeschooling communities.
